I was riding on a Transit commission bus the other day, on my way to a downtown client. I pulled out my iPhone (also available on other smartphones) and checked out their location again in ZOHO CRM.
(For a video about the Zoho CRM Mobile click here).
By the time I arrived at the client Tim’s response had arrived with a complete answer, which he had attached to the client record and notified me by pop up on my phone. The information was not only in my hand, but also permanently attached to the client record for future review.
After the client meeting I had found out much more about the project they were considering. I pulled out my phone as I rode down the elevator and quickly clicked off three elements of the sales checklist for this sales opportunity, which was already open as I had used it for the map review. I clicked off:
√ Budget discussed
√ Time Frame established
√ Decision process identified
I also created a calendar event for myself related to the contact and sales opportunity for the next meeting.
Within 5 minutes I had completely described the outcome of the meeting and my next meeting date. I needed to do a little research and provide a discussion document and outline budget for the next meeting. I assigned myself a task in ZOHO for Tuesday next week.
Then as I rode the bus back to my office I worked through my outstanding tasks for the day, calling the associated contact with one click from the task record.
There is no doubt that my smart phone is invaluable in helping me work as effectively as possible, making productive use of the “downtime”, like bus rides and elevator rides.
By using the rather wonderful ZOHO Mobile App, it instantly associates my activities, notes, progress reports to the right contacts, including my associates who are helping me with a sales situation.
It also stored all of the information I entered from my phone, emails, notes, tasks, updates etc., in my main ZOHO CRM stored in 'the cloud', for safe-keeping, reporting and future reference - or review on my laptop.
It was such a breathtakingly easy thing to do I wondered: "so what did we do before we had this capability?"
Is your smartphone this smart?
