Improve Your Business by 10% in 3 Months

This challenge is interesting - is it possible to improve your business by 10% in 3 months? Increase Profits

This started as a management challenge to ourselves, but we realized that others may be able to join in and share more pointers, while gaining insights and sharing good ideas from different perspectives.

We looked at the following factors, dividing the challenge into two roughly equal halves - Decrease costs and Increase Sales, brainstorming solutions that apply to our customers and to ourselves. Here are a selection of the ideas that were proposed:

Decrease costs - 5%

  • Inefficient processes equals overtime, extra headcount or temporary workers - identify and improve processes
  • Avoid dropped cases or commitments, reduce firefighting and bad customer PR
  • Improve customer self-service options on our web-site - identify common customer needs, add the forms and processes, publicize the change, make it user-friendly and really easy. Use workflow to ensure requests are processed.
  • Reduce response times, reduce grammatical or factual errors, increase satisfied customers by establishing templated personalized email responses that can be sent 'as is', or with minimal customization, in multiple languages. Include follow up task workflow triggers.
  • Qualify effectively as early as possible in the sales process. Stop wasting time on poorly qualified sales opportunities
Increase sales + 5%

  • Improve our web-site to deliver our key Unique Sales Proposition and support it with appropriate evidence, testimonial etc.
  • Begin or continue a monitored public dialogue with customers and your potential user constituency on twitter. Be helpful, insightful and responsive, Give to get.
  • Improve service reputation and consider service a sales opportunity 'in waiting' - implement on-line service case input and monitoring. Share insights and wisdom with your customers. Be responsive.
  • Let customers know 'what's new' in relevant and punchy communications that don't require hours of careful reading and review. Headline, Link, Video.
  • Improve prospecting efficiency, make every prospect count with a sales process that begins with engagement and dialogue, evaluation and escalation.
  • Use social media and networking more effectively to open dialogue.

We have created an on-line questionnaire for you to assess your own options. It is anonymous, simply use it to identify what areas of opportunity you should explore to find your 10% business improvement options. https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/WHHX89T

At the end of the survey you will be able to anonymously compare your responses to other respondents. There are only 32 yes or no questions - about 3 minutes to complete. When we took the survey we didn't get all yes's!

If you would like to discuss any of these issues with me, send me an an email, or contact us by phone.

Ready… Aim… Fire...

Discover the missing element in even the best designed websites

There are other companies that, like Prodigm, offer Website Design, SEO and CRM systems and are ZOHO CRM Partners, so why do our clients choose us? Our USP sets us apart. Do you know what your business Unique Selling Proposition is? It describes, in ten words or less, how a customer benefits by choosing your product or service. As an example, for Prodigm, our USP is described and amplified in this “Elevator speech” the element sections are described in <>, When you design your own USP and elevator speech you will need content in each of the <> sections: As an example, our USP is:

<General positioning statement>USP

“We help you do more business on the web”.

<Three emotional “buy” reasons>

Typically clients come to us because:

  • Website isn’t attracting response
  • Don’t know how to convert inquiries into sales.
  • Don’t have an effective sales management process.

<Why choose us?>

Other companies build web sites.  We build businesses by creating web sites that generate leads and sales. Expect a total solution, including everything you need to be successful.  That includes design, optimization, back end contact management systems (CRM) customization and web-form integration, plus social media program management services. We can also help you build an entirely new sales funnel with the following services:

When we start a project, the USP is the starting point from which we can proceed. It is part of the Ready, Aim process that preceeds website development.

If you need help formulating your USP we have several marketing services partners who can help you research and articulate this key statement.

How to Create a USP that Works:

Do's

  • Talk about the outcome that is most important to the customer USP
  • Define how you deliver that outcome
  • Compress your USP into 10 words of less
  • Use everyday language

Don’t

  • Focus on the features of your service or product
  • Talk about what your company does
  • Use jargon or technical language
  • Brag about the success of your company

If you would like to discuss any of these issues with me, send me an an email, or contact us by phone.
